Dr. John Constable

Biography

John Constable serves as the Director of the Renewable Energy Foundation, an independent charity focused on publishing data and analysis within the energy sector. Educated in English at Magdalene College, Cambridge, he obtained his PhD there in 1993. Dr. Constable has taught at Kyoto University, Japan, and at Cambridge until 2005. With over two decades of experience in energy policy, he is recognized for his data-driven perspective, which challenges the feasibility and affordability of current renewable energy policy targets, deeming them likely counterproductive.
